Known as \u2018East Africa\u2019s Adventure capital\u2019, it\u2019s in Jinja that the source of rive Nile \u2013 the world\u2019s longest river is found. there are a number of activities you can enjoy while in Jinja such as Bungee Jumping, bird watching, white water rafting on its Grade Five rapids, horse riding, community visits to the local communities around the Nile, Fishing, kayaking, squad biking, boat ride on the source of the Nile and jet boating.<\/p>\n

Day 1: Visit the Sezibwa Falls and Mabira Forest hike<\/p>\n

Day 2: Explore Jinja – White water rafting on the Nile<\/p>\n

Day 1: Sezibwa Falls and Mabira Forest Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early morning our guide from Travel Gorge Tours will pick you up from your hotel and start the drive to Jinja which will take you through the beautiful countryside, past plantations of tea and sugar, and vibrant roadside fruit and vegetable markets. The first stopover on this adventure will be at the Sezibwa falls which is a cultural site belonging to the Buganda kingdom, and here you will enjoy very interesting tales about the origin of the water fall and the river itself. There are a number of local people who go to visit the traditional healers to dispel curses from them that could be interfering with their success and get blessing so you may be chanced to find some of them there.<\/p>\n

from there you will head to the Mabira forest where you will have a nature walk to see the different species of trees, butterflies, lizards, birds and primates as well as some medicinal species used by the local people.<\/p>\n

later in the day you will make it to jinja and enjoy a 30 minutes to a one and a half boat ride to the source of River Nile from where it begins its long 4000 mile journey across the African continent to the Mediterranean sea.<\/p>\n

Day 2: White Water Rafting on River Nile, Return to Kampala<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today will be the highlight of our 2 day adventure as we set out rafting. After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the starting point of this activity where you will be briefed and well prepared for the rafting adventure on the world\u2019s longest river. Jinja\u2019s White Water Rafting offers very amazing Grade Five rapids with impressive jumps and drops, sounds of the roaring waterfalls as well as beautiful scenery of forested river banks and birds. Also, you won\u2019t fail to see fishermen on their traditional dhows making their catch as well as some locals in canoe boats marveling at the rapids in action. Once you get to areas where the water is calm, you will be allowed to take a swim before taking on the rapids again.<\/p>\n

Other Optional activities here include: Bungee Jumping, bird watching, horse riding, community visits to the local communities around the Nile, Fishing, kayaking, squad biking, boat ride on the source of the Nile and jet boating.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, you will later be driven back to Kampala and the driver-guide will drop you at your hotel of preference or to the airport for your departure flight. This will be the end of our 2 day Jinja adventure in Uganda.<\/p>
